Key Procedures
- Antenatal and Post natal Clinics –
It mainly indulges in pre birth and after birth care for expectant mothers. The doctors ensure training programs for healthy and safe pre pregnancy, during delivery and after delivery. These clinics fix regular schedules with the Gynecologist and educate the mothers about pregnancy complications and guarantee hassle free delivery of their babies.
- Normal or Vaginal Delivery –
A baby born by natural method through vagina is referred as Normal or Vaginal Delivery. The risks are less through this method and the patient requires 3-4 days of hospital stay.
- Caesarian Section –
It is the delivery of a baby by surgical intervention. The cut is made in the mother’s abdomen and the uterus and the baby is taken out. In most cases the C-section planned in advance due to various medical problems such as twin conception, having fibroids in the uterus, abnormalities of the child, any surgeries undergone before, breech position and if the baby is too large.
- Abdominal, vaginal or laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH) –
This operation (LAVH) is performed to remove the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries by means of laparoscope. Small cuts are made in the abdomen and then the special instrument excises the uterus. The recovery time and the blood loss are minimal.
- Abdominal or Laparoscopic myomectomy – In Abdominal myomectomy
, a cut is made in the lower part of the stomach and then the fibroids are excised from the walls of the uterus. It is recommended if the fibroid is big and intensely attached. The patient requires two days of hospital stay. In Laparoscopic myomectomy, several small incisions are made in the lower part of the stomach and Carbon dioxide gas is filled and the procedure is done by means of special device that has light and camera. The patient needs one day of hospital stay.
- Laparoscopic Salpingectomy –
The infected fallopian tubes are removed by this procedure. It is done due to blocked tubes or during ectopic pregnancy. It is performed as a day care procedure.
- Laparoscopic Salpingo Oophorectomy –
The fallopian tubes and the ovary is removed by this procedure. The reason for removal is malignancies, pelvic inflammatory diseases and endometriosis. The patient can leave the hospital in two days and the recuperation period is fast.
- Hysteroscopic resection of Myomas and Septa procedure –
By this procedure, the fibroids are removed by avoiding major surgery and general anesthesia. A unique device called hysteroscope in which a camera is attached is used to look into the fibroids and remove it. The pain and the bleeding is less and recuperation is faster. The Hysteroscopic resection of uterine septum is done to enhance the fertility rate in women who have unexplained infertility.
