News just in indicates President Uhuru Kenyatta has opted out of presidential debates.
Breaking the news, Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe said there was lack of consultation and that Uhuru’s calendar is tight. He further said the president will concentrate on vote hunting in the remaining campaign period.
The president was scheduled to attend presidential debates alongside opposition leader Raila Odinga and other presidential candidate. The debates were scheduled for July 10 and 25.
His action leaves organizes with no option but to handle the presidential candidates who shall confirm their attendance.
