The number of Kikuyu registered voters in Nairobi is out. According to the IEBC figures, a total of 900,000 votes belong to the Kikuyu tribe.
Nairobi County has a total of 2.3 million registered voters, subtracting the Kikuyu votes, we remain with 1.4 million votes. Of the 1.4 million votes, the Luo community has 350, 000, Kamba 300,000,Kisii 180,000 while the Luhya has the second largest number of registered voters with 450,000 votes. The Somali community has registered 80,000 votes.
The most surprising thing is that Kalenjins in Nairobi are less than 10,000.This means that going by arithmetic, Uhuru will garner a maximum of 900,000 votes in Nairobi while Raila will garner at least 1 million votes.In governor category, Mike Sonko has an upper hand since he will be voted by more than 700,000 Kikuyu registered voters ,some Kamba and majority of people from slums.
