Two days after President Uhuru was declared president, U.S President Donald Trump has not congratulated him.
Unlike Obama, who congratulated Uhuru in 2013 immediately he was declared by the IEBC the winner, Trump is silent- perhaps he will be silent till he is reminded there were elections in Kenya.
It’s a norm that when a leader is elected President,other presidents should congratulate him to show a good gesture.Kenyans are eagerly waiting for Trump’s congratulatory message.
Leaders who have congratulated Uhuru include Yoweri Museveni, Paul Kagame and Pombe Magufuli.
Uhuru is expected to be sworn in before end month to begin his second term. He is also expected to reach out to the opposition leaders.
