Good news from Kenyan chain stores reveals that Tuskys has acquired Nakumatt .
The two leading chain stored signed a binding agreement over the weekend that will see Nakumatt stock it’s almost empty shelves with Tuskys products. The agreement also added that Atul Shah and his family will pledge their shares for six years.
Tuskys will start stocking their products on Nakumatt shelves in a bid to rescue the sinking chain store. This move is likely to put a smile on millions of Nakumatt loyal customers, who had almost given up on the supermarket.
Nakumatt had accumulated debts amounting to over Ksh 18 billion. The chain store had closed several of its branches and was contemplating closing its entire business in the country.
