Elections will go on as scheduled after the Supreme Court suspended its sittings following lack of quorum.
The Supreme Court was to give its opinion over the legality of tomorrow’s presidential elections but the case didn’t materialize after only two judges turned up at the Supreme Court of Kenya. It’s not clear why other judges didn’t turn up but it’s understood most of them were on leave following gazzettement of today as a public holiday.
Though Judge Odunga had ruled earlier that the appointment of IEBC Returning Officers was illegal, the planned elections will continue-this marks the end of a long battle between President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
If you are planning to vote tomorrow, you have no reason to worry,go and vote.
