Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has agreed to step down for his former Deputy Emmerson Mnangagwa
The outgoing president agreed to step down hours after he was expelled by Zimbabwe’s ruling ZANU-PF party. His decision to step down came after negotiation with the Army where he was promised protection and send off package.
In few hours’ time, Mugabe will officially address the nation and announce his resignation, which will mark the end of his 37-year rule.
Celebrations have already begun in Harare following the announcement that the longest serving president in Africa is about to relinquish power. Goodbye Mugabe.
