Reports have emerged that Raila Odinga has travelled to Tanzania in order to convince Magufuli to help him form a government from the neighbouring country.
The former Prime Minister’s plane arrived in Tanzania late yesterday where Raila was received by his host. He then held length talks with Magufuli and other government officials.
Raila, who is expected to announce his next course of action, is waiting for the Supreme Court ruling before he makes a statement from Tanzania.
Raila argues that since his strongholds did not participate in the October 26 Elections, they are not answerable to President Kenyatta. He therefore wants them to form people’s assembly, which will be used to advance Raila’s secession agenda.
Those who are in government are aware of Raila’s plans, with Moses Kuria reporting this on Facebook:
Raila Odinga arrived in Zanzibar yesterday. He plans to form a government-in-exile from there. Nani anataka cabinet position?
We are waiting to see what Raila will tell his supporters from Tanzania.
