Professor VN Parthiban is ranked as the most educated person in the world. The Chennai professor has a massive collection of degrees. And when I say massive, I mean mountain-ously huge!
For he has not one, not two, but a heap of 145 academic degrees under his belt, that he collected over a span of 30 years.
While explaining how he acquired all the degrees, the professor noted that it requires absolute dedication and commitment.
And here I am, feeling absurdly retarded for the three that I managed to achieve – with painstaking efforts – to help me sail through life.
All it took was the heart to study it all.
“I really enjoy studying. It’s not difficult at all. I have been continuously in the process of preparing for exams and applying for new degrees or diploma courses,” he was quoted as saying by Sunday Indian.
All his life, this Professor VN Parthiban has kept himself busy by applying to different courses. So much so, that now, invigilators know him by face whenever he turns up to write an exam, reports The Indian Express.
“I struggled hard to finish my first college degree and got a job in the judiciary department”, he said. But there were also times when he studied for the wrong paper – thanks to the multiple courses he had applied to – and flunked it.
Even though the professor wants to collect more degrees, his labours have taken a toll on his memory. He finds it difficult to remember people’s faces and recollect the routes to the places he visits on a daily basis.
