Almost all the buses plying the Nairobi-Kisii route are planning to increase fare prices to Ksh 2,000 from next week Monday.
Easy Coach, Transline Classic and Guardian Angel are among SACCOs planning to hike the prices to Ksh2, 000 from the current average of Ksh 1,000.
During our visit to the companies’ stages at Afya Centre and Railways, we found out that already people have booked some of the seats to December 26,which implies that it would be difficult for any individual to secure a seat on 25th December.
We also visited Nyamira Express stage, Premium Luxury Shuttle, and Kisii Classic stages, the story was the same. Normal fare is Ksh700-Ksh1000 but this time they will charge up to Ksh1, 800.
If you have time to visit booking offices , you better book a seat as early as tomorrow.
