I met my wife three years ago in Nairobi. We met at a seminar. After dating for two years, we got married.
We have been living happily since then and I havenโt detected anything. Our first child, a boy, came this year. That was the same time my wifeโs younger sister came to visit us in Nairobi-she actually came to take care of the baby.
One day she told me she wanted to drop her CV in Airtel for employment. Since I work along Mombasa Road,I told her to give me her CV and a copy ofย her ID.She innocently gave me the documents.
I almost fainted when I saw she was born in 1985, she is even older than me.Now I imagined, since my wife is older than her sister, how old is she. I wondered, โdid I marry a fossil!!โ
What I discovered got me more curious.I started to look for my wifeโs ID card and one day,last week, I got it.In the ID,I discovered she was born in 1979โฆI almost died of heart attack.Later,when I asked her about the age,she replied,โage is just but a number, now you are my husband, I have your child, and you canโt do anything.If you leave me,I will sue you for child support ,maintenance fees and the cost of wasting my precious time โ.
I now feel cheated, useless and shameful. Is there a way I can get out of this situation?โฆbecause my wife will soon get wrinkles while I am at my teenage age.
