I saw a story about a certain woman who infected men with HIV in Nairobi.I want to say it’s true we also infect men with HIV in Kisumu. My case is similar to the one I read on your article and I will explain why I do so
In 2014 I graduated with a diploma in hospitality management from Utalii College.I immediately embarked on looking for a job.I started with Nairobi but along the way I gave up. Later I moved to Kisumu and rented a single room in Nyalenda.
In Kisumu I managed to send my CV to various hotels here,I sent to Terrace Hotel, Kisumu Hotel among others. I finally got internship at Terrace Hotel.Unfortunately, the internship ended after three months. After I was offered recommendation letter,I started applying for jobs again.
There is nothing as hard as looking for a job.I experienced this from 2014 to 2016 when I finally gave up.I tried all my best but no employer saw if fit to employ me.In December 2015 I decided to give up on employment and started doing menial jobs. I started with going to work in construction sites in Kisumu but I didn’t finish even 4 months after finding out it was hard for me to fit in.After getting disappointed, I embarked on washing clothes for single and married men whose women weren’t around. This is the job I am doing up to now.
The fact that I meet new men everyday exposes me to many things. In 2016 April when I decided to do the job,I was so nervous and reserved. All I wanted was to respect my body.My character changed one day when I went to wash clothes for a single man in Riat Hills. This was a rich man who I believed respected himself. We negotiated the price and settled for Ksh3,000.This was the highest amount I had ever been offered in this job.I washed the clothes for 4 hours and when I was about to complete,he came and stood next to me.He told me,”since we are alone, it’s good we talk like adults. You know I am single and I have loved your attitude. I want to marry,I don’t know whether you are single or not.Finish washing clothes and we shall talk”
I continued washing the clothes and after a while, I finished.ImediatelyI was through,he came to the bathroom, closed the door and started touching me.Since I was not in a position to stop him, we had a thing. After that he gave me Ksh 3,000 and added me Ksh 5,000.Since that time,I never heard of him again.
I continued with my work and after a while,I started losing weight and getting frequent sore throat. The situation was worsened when I started getting lymph nodes.I decided to go to hospital.I Went to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital. Where I did a medical check up.It’s in this hospital I was found to be HIV positive.
The news of my HIV status took my energy away.I tried to comfort myself but I didn’t manage. With that bitterness, I decided to revenge.
In my line of work, previously I was rejecting some men, especially those I thought were ugly. After I confirmed I was positive,I started sleeping with any man who looked like ready to sleep with them.I dress to kill,in most cases mini skirts. When I go to wash clothes,I make sure I sit suggestively to tempt the man.At the end I achieved my target.I would say my success rate is almost 100%.
Men are weak, imagine any man I tempt must sleep with me.The weakest are those men whose women live away from town. These men are hungry and strangely they don’t use protection. Out of about 1,000 men I have slept with, only 97 used protection. Most men always ask before I accept their offers,”umewahienda HIV testing”. I answer ‘yes’. They then do it raw. They don’t figure out that one can go for HIV testing and the result turn positive.
I have ensured I have a list of men I have slept with. Each time I sleep with one,I write down the name, phone number and location. I purposely do so because I want to set a record in Kisumu…I also don’t want to die alone.Majority of the men I have slept with live in Mambo Leo Estate,I have also tried my best in Nyalenda.
