Cooperative Bank CEO Gideon Muriuki is the best paid CEO in Kenya with a monthly salary of Ksh30 million. The information was revealed by an annual bank report that compiled the salaries of CEOs in Kenya for the years 2017- 2018.
The report further broke down the CEO’s pay as indicated below:
Per Year: Ksh 370,000,000
Per Month: Ksh 30,833,333.33
Per Day: Ksh 1,027,777.78
Per Hour: Ksh 42,824.0742
Per Minute: Ksh 713.73
Per Second: Ksh 11.89
The list also included Sportpesa CEO,Ronald Karauri,Centum CEO James Mworia,Equity Bank CEO James Mwangi,Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore,BAT Kenya CEO Beverley Obatoyinbo and KCB CEO Joshua Oigara.
Each of these men earns above Ksh 4 million each month plus other allowances. Ronald Karauri,who started Sportpesa from scratch,takes home Ksh 28 million per month(salary+bonuses) while Bob Collymore pockets Ksh12 million.Equity Bank CEO James Mwangi earns Ksh22 million in salaries and bonuses.
