We help countries develop strong policies, skills, partnerships and institutions so they can sustain their progress.

Together with 23 other UN agencies, UNDP is helping Somalis recover from 20 years of conflict, build peace, rebuild their institutions, and set Somalia on the path to development. The Somali Compact lays out five Peacebuilding and State-Building Goals (PSGs) which focus on inclusive political processes, security, justice, economic foundations and revenue and services.
