Sources at Capitol Hill intimates that Raila’s daughter, Winnie Odinga may replace Ken Okoth as Kibra MP. Winnie, who the former Prime Minister loves to death,is warming up to take the seat.
Before 2017 elections, Rosemary Odinga was to replace the late Ken Okoth but she got ill and quit the race, leaving Ken to continue serving his constituents. Ken’s death is a blessing to Odinga family as they prepare to front one of their own to lead the biggest slum in Africa.
Ken Okoth died last week from Cancer after his body failed to respond to treatment, he had been a neutral politician who was loved by Raila’s enemies more than his(Raila) friends. His work was manifested in the various projects he accomplished.
Though Raila is seriously considering his daughter to take up from the late, the choice may negatively impact on ODM.Ruto’s camp may sponsor a neutral candidate to defeat Winnie.
