A source from Sportpesa intimates that the betting company will resume operations next week. The source further revealed to us that the company has reached agreement with the government and what is remaining is for its paybill company to be opened.
A major announcement to be made by the company’s CEO Captain Ronald Karauri on Monday. The Paybill number will also be opened next week.
Sportpesa has lost over Ksh 1 billion in revenues over the past 2 weeks. The company controls over 70% of the gambling revenues in the country.
We are also reliably informed that nearly all the betting companies which were closed by Interior CS Fred Matiangi will resume operations this month.
