DSTV Kenya Payment Methods

There are several payment methods given by DSTV Kenya: MPESA,Direct Debit,I&M Bank,Equity Bank,Barclays Bank,Multichoice office,Rafiki Bank,KCB Bank, Diamond Trust Bank,NIC Bank,CBA Bank.You can use any of the methods below to pay for your subscription.

Details of the payment methods

MPESA (STK)

1. Go to the Safaricom menu and select ‘M-PESA’
2. Enter the DStv Business number i.e. Paybill number: DStv: 444900
3. Enter the DStv Basket ID (reference number) as displayed on Eazy Self Service
4. Enter the amount you want to pay
5. Confirm the details entered, Click ‘Ok’
6. The following message will be displayed: Sending >>> Sent Wait for Mpesa to Reply, then Click ‘Ok”
7. You will then receive a confirmation SMS of your payment.

Please ensure that your decoder is on before making payment.

Direct Debit

• Complete an application form available at the counter or reception.
• Effective One Month from the date of application.
• The actual debits are done on the first day of every month.
• Instructions revoked in writing only.
• Currency accepted is Kenyan Shillings.

I&M Bank

To pay for your DStv subscription log onto your mobile banking application and follow these easy steps:

• “Log onto Mobile banking”
• Select ‘Pay Utilities’
• Select ‘DStv’
• Select the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
  Enter the number of the selected the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
• Enter the amount you want to pay
  Select the linked bank account to service the payment
• Enter the PIN number of the bank account selected
• Click on Pay to process payment

Equity Bank

You can now pay your DStv bill by simply following the steps below:

1. How to pay using your Equitel line

• 1.On the Equitel menu select My Money
• 2.Select Eazzy Pay > Select Paybill
• 3.Select the Account to pay from
• 4.Select Business> Select More> Select DStv
• 5.Enter your Bill Account Number
• 6.Enter Amount
• 7.Press OK to confirm details of the transaction displayed on the screen
• 8.Enter your PIN and send
• 9.You will receive a confirmation SMS, upon completion of the transaction

1. How to pay using the Equity Bank’s Eazzy App

Press the plus (+) icon at the bottom of the screen

Select Eazzy Pay from the pop up menu displayed

Select Paybill

Enter Paybill number 6800009 or search contact by typing DStv or on the search bar

Enter your DStv bill number

Enter Amount

Click on the Pay option

You will receive a confirmation SMS, upon completion of the transaction

1. You can pay at any Equity Bank Branch near you over the counter.

This option is available to all. You will receive a copy of the payment slip. The payment done will be updated via Equity Bank at least hourly.

*D. You can also pay at any Equity Agent outlet

Barclays

To pay for your DStv subscription log onto your mobile banking application and follow these easy steps:

Open the Barclays Kenya app

1. Tap ‘Login’
2. Log in using your internet banking username, password and secret questions
3. Go to ‘Transfers’ using the navigation at the bottom of the screen
4. Select ‘Pay Bill’
5. If you have already saved the biller, you can choose ‘Existing Payee’ and simply enter the amount to pay and account to debit. If not, choose ‘New Payee’.
6. Use the drop-down menu to select biller type
7. After selecting biller type, you can select biller and enter in your account/reference number
8. Choose which account you would like to pay from.
9. Enter in the amount to pay and submit
10. You will be asked to confirm the amount. You may need to enter in the one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your phone
11. Payment made! The transaction should reflect on your balance under ‘Accounts’.

On mobile banking:

1. Dial *224#
2. Enter in your mobile banking PIN
3. Select 5) Bank services
4. Select 2) Pay bills
5. Select 2) Make a one-time payment
6. Select your biller (you may need to enter ## to see more billers)
7. Enter in your smart card number
8. Enter in the amount to pay
9. Select the account to pay for
10. Press 1 to confirm

Multichoice Office

Customers can pay for their DStv subscriptions at one of the following Multichoice Offices:

Westlands, Off Karuna Road behind Sarit Centre

Weekdays – 8am to 8pm
Weekends – 9am to 5pm
Public holidays – 9am to 3pm

Greenspan shopping mall, Donholm

Weekdays 8am to 7pm
Weekends – 9am to 7pm
Public Holidays – 9am to 3pm

T Mall, along Langata/Mbagathi Way, Ground Floor next to Tuskys Supermarket

Weekdays – 8am to 9pm
Saturdays – 9am to 9pm
Sundays – 9am to 7pm
Public Holidays – 9am to 3pm

Rafiki Bank

To pay for your DStv subscription log onto your mobile banking application and follow these easy steps:

• “Log onto Mobile banking”
• Select ‘Pay Utilities’
• Select ‘DStv’
• Select the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
• Enter the number of the selected the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
• Enter the amount you want to pay
• Select the linked bank account to service the payment
• Enter the PIN number of the bank account selected
• Click on Pay to process payment

KCB Bank

To Pay Via KCB Bank follow the instructions below.

1. When paying via KCB Mobi

• *522# – USSD
• Dial *522*#
• Select “Bill Payments > Pay Bill”
• Select “DSTV”
• Enter Customer number in Bill Account No.
• Enter Amount to pay and submit

2. When paying via KCB App

• Select “Transact Icon > Pay Bill > Other Billers”
• Select “DSTV”
• Enter Customer number in Account No.
• Enter Amount to pay and submit

3. You can also pay at any KCB Bank Agent.

Diamond Trust Bank (DTB)

To pay for your DStv subscription log onto your mobile banking application and follow these easy steps:

• “Log onto Mobile banking”
• Select ‘Pay Utilities’
• Select ‘DStv’
• Select the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
• Enter the number of the selected the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
• Enter the amount you want to pay
• Select the linked bank account to service the payment
• Enter the PIN number of the bank account selected
• Click on Pay to process payment

NIC Bank

To pay for your DStv subscription log onto your mobile banking application and follow these easy steps:

• Enter the number of the selected the product identifier e.g. Smartcard number or Customer number
• Enter the amount you want to pay
• Select the linked bank account to service the payment
• Enter the PIN number of the bank account selected
• Click on Pay to process payment

• CBA
• Using Short Code SMS:
  Dial the CBA mobile banking short code *654#
  2. Enter your pin on the screen prompt
  3. Enter option 9 for bill payment
  4. Enter option 1 for DStv bill payment
  5. Select the account to pay from
  6. Enter the DStv account number being serviced
  7. Enter the amount you would wish to pay.
  8. Enter your PIN to confirm the transaction. You should get an SMS confirming success of your transaction

  Using CBA Mobile App:
  Step 1:Log in using phone number and PIN.
  Step 2:On the menu, select “transact”
  Step 3:Select “Pay Bills”
  Step 4:Select account to debit
  Step 5:Select DSTV or GOTV
  Step 6:Enter utility account number & amount
  Step 7:Enter the one-time-password sent to your phone to authorize

• CBA Loop Customer
  Log into loop App
  2. Tap on the highlighted icon for a full menu
  3. Select the paybill icon
  4. Select DSTV or GOTV as the bill you wish to pay
  5. Input the transaction details requested, select the bill category and select “proceed” at the bottom of the screen
  6. Confirm the transaction details, select a sub-category and confirm the payment to complete processing.
  You should get an SMS confirming success of your transaction
