MPESA Agent commissions are not expected to change for the year 2020.According to Safaricom the lowest commission an agent earns is Ksh 4 when Ksh50-Ksh100 is transacted. If a customer transacts Ksh 101-Ksh510 the commission is Ksh8.The commission increases with the increase in transacted amount.
The highest amount of money an agent earns from a single transaction is Ksh190.This amount is earned when a customer transacts Ksh60,021 to Ksh 70,000. The maximum amount a customer can transact at once is Ksh70,000. In a day a customer is allowed to transact Ksh70,000 twice.

The worst case is when you have customers who deposit as little as Ksh49, you’ll earn nothing.
For one to earn more money as an agent, you must have your shop strategically positioned where human traffic is high. You should also target average depositing clients. The best clients are those who deposit or withdraw Ksh2,000 to Ksh10,000
