NHIF rates for 2019 and 2020 are the same, nothing has changed. The minimum amount someone is required to pay is Ksh 150 every month, these are rates for someone earning Ksh 0 to Ksh5,999. The maximum NHIF contributions are Ksh 1,700 per month. This amount is for someone earning over Ksh100,000.
NHIF caters for inpatient and outpatient services. The rates as of 2020 are as follows:

Note: Charge for this service is Kshs 10 only.

To register for NHIF,here are the documents that are needed:
Kenyan Residents
1. Copy of National I.D (including spouse if applicable)
2. Copy of Employer Appointment/Introduction Letter (excludes self employed/voluntary contributors)
3. Coloured passport photo (including spouse & dependants if applicable)
4. Original & copies of Birth Certificate(s) for dependants
