Former Military head Samson Mwathethe has built a church that cost more than Ksh20 million. The church is located at the heart of Kilifi where he comes from.
This is one of the biggest churches in Kenya with a sitting capacity of more than 1,000. Villagers welcomed the idea but most Kenyans criticized him for not considering money generating structures like schools and hospitals.
For those who understand Kilifi well, they congratulated him. This is one of the worst regions in terms of witchcraft. Because of this, poverty is rampant. Since Mwathethe knows his people well, he built a church to liberate them first then become more productive.
