Johnson Sakaja is one of the most controversial politicians in Kenya due to his education background. The aspiring Nairobi Governor joined Lenana School in 1999 and completed school in 2002.He later enrolled at the University of Nairobi for a degree in Actuarial Science. He pursued the degree until 2003 when he dropped out to join politics.
When he was contesting for the Governor seat, he was tasked to present his graduation certificate which he did not have. He had to acquire one from Team University Uganda after The University of Nairobi claimed that Sakaja did not graduate from the university. Transcripts shared online showed that the Actuarial Science course was difficult for Sakaja, the reason he dropped out of school.
Sakaja claimed that he enrolled for a degree at Team University, Uganda in 2012 and graduated in 2016.But the university also said that Sakaja was not among their students.
To prove that the Senator graduated from the University of Nairobi, Kenya Kwanza bloggers created a fake website indicting that Arthur Sakaja is an Alumni of the University.
At the moment, it’s clear than Johnson Sakaja did not graduate from the University of Nairobi and he doesn’t possess any Undergraduate certificate—his only certificate was the one he acquired from Lenana School.
