Born at Igare in Bobasi Sub County โ Kisii County After his primary education at Boitangare primary, Motego later joined Cardinal Otunga 1983-1984 (form 1 form 2). He did his form 3 & 4 at Itierio High school.

โข Kenya Breweries now Tusker FC โ 1989-2005 and later coached the same team in their KPL title winning season of 2004-2005.
