A Luo woman by the name Edna Awour Atieno has moved to Eldoret High Court to stop the burial of Kelvin Kiptum.The 22-year-old rushed to court yesterday 21/2/2024 after it emerged that the family had sidelined her.She claims that Kiptum sired a child with her who is now aged 1 year and 7 months.She adds that the two have been in good terms until he died.
Edna has appealed to the court to stop the burial until she is heard.She wants part of Kiptum’s wealth to enable her take care of the child the late left behind.The court is yet to rule on the matter.
Kiptum was playing on the pitch and outside.More than 5 women have come out to claim they had a thing with him.Already 2 women claim they were married to Kiptum.
The athlete will be buried this week.He was aged 24 when he died and unfortunately he had not build a house for himself—the government has offered to build a house for him.
