Gilbert Thuo Kimani is dead. The middle-aged man died this week after being thrown out of a moving Super Metro matatu. He boarded the matatu in Nairobi CBD heading Kahawa West, but on the way, the conductor told him that fare is Ksh80 and not Ksh50. Initially, he was told at the stage that fare is Ksh50. After short argument, the conductor felt angry and threw Gilbert out of the moving vehicle. Gilbert broke his legs, hands and ribs. He died immediately.
Here is what happened:
Yesterday inside a Super Metro Bus number plate KDL 125N….
Tout: Nimesema gari ni 80/=
Gilbert: Niko tu na 50/=
Tout: Nimesema gari ni 80/= na tusisumbuane…mbona uliingia kama huna 80/=? Unanibeba ujinga wewe…
Gilbert: Mimi sikusikia…na huwa hata nalipa hivo…
Tout: Aggrrrhhh…..
The bus is now at Kahawa Wendani speeding. The angry tout is alleged to have SUDDENLY opened the door and thrown Gilbert Thuo Kimani out!…a middle aged man from Kandara Subcounty in Murang’a County. The poor man is said to have died on the spot and the postmortem has revealed that Gilbert succumbed after breaking all his ribs, hands and legs!
Gilbert had only Ksh50 in his pockets after hustling for whole day.
