It seems there are betting sites in Kenya which are editing bet slips for players. A number of Kenyans have complained that their winning slips were edited by a betting site.
“I had placed a bet with 13 games. 12 games had already won and I was waiting for the 13th game to win. The morning of Tuesday, I woke up knowing that I would win Ksh 560,000 because Arsenal had won 3:1 against Bayern—only to be shocked that my bet slip had lost. The company had edited the result to indicate that I had placed a draw full time. When I reached out to them, they denied the claim”, one of the affected players narrated.
Another player said that he had placed a jackpot and was expecting to earn a bonus, but he was shocked to realise that his bet slip was edited—he lost.
The shocking revelations are on social media.
