Kenyans are shocked that someone earning Ksh 200,000 is deducted Ksh 61,300. This pay slip has shocked especially those in the informal settlement who don’t pay tax.
In Kenya,people working in mjengo,mama mboga ,boda boda operators and many other sectors don’t pay tax. If someone running a kibanda earns Ksh200,000,she will only pay Ksh20 to Ksh50 per day to the kanjo and pocket the rest of the money. But for employed people,they have to pay tax.
