Waiters in Kenya are intelligent people, they know exactly when the man is experiencing “blackout”, that’s when they strike. There is a trend in Kenya where waiters and cashiers conspire to steal from customers. These waiters know very well that the customer is drunk and unable to determine the amount of money he has spent on drinks, they will write a receipt with a figure of up to 1,000 times what the customer had consumed.
The cases are growing to the extent where customers pay first and order all the drinks they would consume in the entire period they will stay at the club/pub.This is to avoid being conned.
