The number of Kikuyu, Meru, Embu and Kalenjin who have registered to vote this year has shocked opposition leader Raila Odinga.The GEMA community and their coalition brothers, the Kalenjin, forgot about voter apathy and registered a total of 1.5 million new votes-which is almost half of the total number of new registered voters.
Raila Odinga, who was from Mombasa for Boy’s funeral ,was briefed about the exercise, he whistled and went straight to his juniors. He instructed them to do something before Jubilee take the whole cow in August 2017.Okiya Omtata proceeded to Judge Odunga and requested for the extension of registration exercise so as to allow more Luos, Kisii,Luhya and people from Coast to register. But even after the extension of the exercise, huge lines are experienced in Central and Rift Valley to a point where IEBC is overstretched. But in Siaya, Migori and other parts of Nyanza, only a few people are seen near the registration centres.
The opposition leader declared some days back-I have not forgotten-that the election will be decided during this exercise. Let’s wait and see the final figures from IEBC.
