Rosemary Odinga, Opposition leaderโs daughter and Kibra MP Aspirant is said to be in critical condition. Reports have it that she has been admitted to ICU at the Nairobi Hospital.
Prior to that, she had been admitted to Agha khan hospital and later on yesterday transferred to Nairobi hospital. There isnโt clarity to what Odingaโs daughter is going through or suffering from. It is also alleged that she had complained of a headache on Friday. As at now, only close family members are allowed to stopover and see her.
This comes a few weeks after Rosemaryโs formally declared her pursuitย Kibra MP Seat that had stirred a heated conversation. ย Several individuals ย including Eliud Olwalo also an aspirant for the same seat objected this on grounds that there was dominance of the Odinga family in the nationโs political positions and in particularly Luo Nyanza.
According to them, Odinga family was shepherding her in to the Kibra seat to secure votes for the opposition. ย Several others defended the move by saying that everyone can vie for any political seat. Her ambitions are independent and should not be tied to her fatherโs presidential bid. Her aunty and Kisumu County Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga admitted that Rosemary is socially interactive, competent and should take advantage of that and fulfill her ambitions. ย Others wonder if she would manage to run against Kibraโs beloved, Ken Okoth at the party nominations. Okoth has an outstanding record especially on matters CDF disbursement.
In Earlier 2016, the Odingaโs mysteriously lost their eldest son, Fidel Odinga. Mama Ida ย had admitted that her sonโs death was still fresh within her and the whole family could not get over it even a year after his demise.
