The University of Stirling is now accepting applications for Scottish Funding Council Masters Scholarships for the year 2017/18. Up to 85 fully funded places are open for applicants domiciled in Scotland and the European Union.

Scholarship Award: For each place, the full cost of tuition will be covered across a diverse set of courses.
Number of Scholarships: Up to 85 fully funded scholarships will be awarded.
Scholarship can be taken in the UK
Eligibility: The Scottish Funding Council has attached specific eligibility criteria to the taught postgraduate places at the University of Stirling. These places are open for applicants domiciled in Scotland and the European Union.
You are eligible to apply for a funded place if you are:
- A permanent resident of Scotland for at least 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August (i.e. living in Scotland for a purpose other than studying) OR
- An EU national (with the exception of England, Northern Ireland, Wales) residing in your own country for 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August OR
- An EU national (with the exception of England, Northern Ireland, Wales) exercising your right of free movement anywhere in the UK or the EU and permanently domiciled in the EU for 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August OR
- A non-UK and non-EU applicant with indefinite leave to remain in the UK and permanently domiciled in Scotland for a purpose other than education for 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August.
You are not eligible if you are
- A Scottish applicant not permanently resident of Scotland for 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August
- A UK applicant not permanently resident in Scotland for 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August (e.g. resided in Scotland solely for the purpose of education).
- An EU applicant not permanently resident in the EU for 3 years prior to the start of the programme on 1 August.
- A non-UK and non-EU applicant with indefinite leave to remain in the UK and permanently domiciled outside Scotland
- A non-UK and non-EU applicant with a limited leave to remain.
Nationality: These places are open for applicants domiciled in Scotland and the European Union.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have normally a minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent is required, and some programmes may require a background in the subject area or relevant work experience.
English language Requirements: The requirements for a specific English Language test score such as IELTS or TOEFL may be waived if instruction and assessment of applicant’s first-degree study have been in English.
How to Apply: You don’t. So long as you apply for one of the listed postgraduate courses, accept an unconditional offer and meet all eligibility requirements, you will automatically be considered for one of the SFC’s 85 Masters Scholarships. Successful candidates will then be notified via email by the University’s Admissions Office.
