Slave trade is not yet over. Disturbing pictures have merged from Libya showing how black people are sold for as cheap as $400 to western countries and other Asian nations.
The pictures have been shared on several blogs and platforms,where international organizations are being called upon to intervene.In the pictures,the target group is Africans of Black skin.One of those who saw pictures wondered:
“Pictures of Slave Trade in Libya. What’s wrong with us Africans surely??How can AU be quiet on such atrocities. How can Africans be colonised in their continent at this age and era? Where is UN,EU,ICC?
I cry for my continent, it pains seeing these disturbing images”.
Africa is one of the continents that were affected most by slave trade.In the 22nd century, no one expected this inhuman act to happen in the eyes of UN and other organizations responsible for preventing such atrocities.
