At least 30 people have been killed in Sachanwan area on the Eldoret Nakuru area.
The accident was caused by a truck driver heading to Nakuru .The driver was being chased by National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officials when he lost control of the vehicle and hit oncoming vehicles; a Modern Coast bus, four Nissan Matatus, a truck and several other private vehicles.
Over 20 people died on the spot while others died while being rushed to MediHeal and Nakuru Level Five Hospitals in Nakuru town. Several others are in critical condition in various hospitals.
Sachangwani is one of the hotspots in Kenya. Accidents are reported monthly but ever since the year started, today’s accident was the worst. The pictures below tell the story.
