Former Interior CS Fred Matiangi has arrived in Kenya. Shortly after arriving at JKIA,he issued this statement:
I appreciate for the warm reception I recieved at JKIA. I am happy to be home so that together we can have a conversation about the new Kenya we need to build. We have a series of Ralies and town hall meetingsto engage an hear from Kenyans challenges facing them. Our sole objective is to win together in 2027 and reclaim our country. I am happy for the support you have given even in my absence. My record while i served the government for 10 years speak for itself and the trust Kenyans have in me is what is pushing me to go for presidency to serve my fellow Kenyans. Thank you.~Fred Matiang’i
Fred Matiangi and Kalonzo Musyoka will be contesting for the opposition ticket and vie against President William Ruto. Matiangi will be supported by Mount Kenya,Kisii,Western and other regions.
