Sources close to Raila Odinga say that he is dead.The ODM leader died yesterday in India where he was receiving treatment.
He flew to India a couple of weeks ago for treatment after fainting in his Karen Home. Raila has been unwell in 2025. Doctors told him to rest but he instead continued to be active in politics.
Born in 1945, H.E. Raila Odinga served as Kenya’s 2nd Prime Minister — a position he held after the 2007 post-poll chaos. He was detained at Kamiti for 6 years after the 1982 attempted coup. Agwambo also served as the MP for Langata for many years before the metropolitan constituency was divided into two. His father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, was the 1st Vice President of the Republic of Kenya. In 2024, he donated some Orange “Experts” to the Kenya Kwanza administration in his attempt to stop President Ruto from getting toppled by the Gen Z insurrection.
