Chelsea have beaten rivals Manchester United to the signing of Spain forward Pedro Rodríguez from Barcelona.
“Pedro Rodríguez is all set to join Chelsea. The Blues and Barça struck a deal on Tuesday night for an initial €28m plus another €2m in add-ons, gazumping Manchester United’s offer of €25m up front and up to €5m in extras,” said the Marca,the Spanish publication reporter
“Pedro is already in London undergoing a medical, having been given permission to do so by Barcelona. An official announcement of the move is expected imminently,” added the Marca.
This is a big blow to Manchester United Club since they have been keen to have the player at Old Trafford.
Chelsea, who were hammered 3-0 by Manchester United last Sunday, are expected to announce the signing of Pedro any time this week after the medical test.
