Alfred Mutua was in Kitui on Sunday for a consultative meeting with local leaders. During the meeting, the Machakos Governor shed tears which can fill a mug.
The Governor who loves media complained that several leaders from Ukambani are strategizing to finish him politically through retrogressive politics. He added that the Maendeleo Chap Chap initiative which he launched recently is under threat from his enemies from the region.
“They are panicking due to the fact that people are now questioning what they have done to uplift their areas, despite being in powerful positions for decades,” Mutua said
“While they have been meeting to bring me down, I have been engaging in the politics of development,” he added
The Governor has been accused of working with Jubilee Government instead of supporting CORD which enabled him win the seat.
