Kenya tops the 2015 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Beijing
Kenya produced the best performance in the IAAF World Athletics Championships history by finishing top in the medal standings at Beijing.
Kenya bagged a total of 16 medals (7 gold, 6 silver,3 bronze) while their closest rivals, Jamaica, finished second with 12 medals ( 7 gold,2 silver,3 bronze).
Asbel Kiprop earned Kenya the much needed 7th gold to finish ahead of Jamaica. The tall legged clocked 3 minutes 34.40 seconds, running the final lap in 51 seconds as his rivals battled and stumbled behind him to the line.
