Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has come to the rescue of former NTV Reported Richard Chacha by appointing him the Director of Communications and Public Relations of Mombasa County.
“I have appointed Mr. Richard Chacha as the Director of Communications and Public Relations of Mombasa County.
He was a renowned journalist and one of the most popular faces on Prime Time News.
Mr. Chacha holds a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism (majored in Public Relations) from university of Nairobi. He was NTV’s Senior Political Affairs Editor and known for his instinctive reporting and high level of professionalism.
I congratulate him and wish him well on his new appointment”, reads his statement.
Richard Chacha was fired from NTV after being involved in a grisly road accident which left him paralyzed. He has been undergoing treatment in various hospitals locally and India.
The former Reporter recently narrated how friends have deserted him; they even switch off their phones to prevent the sickly Chacha from reaching them.However,his true friends have always contributed to foot his bills-may God bless them.
