iPhone Manufacturer Apple has cut the prices of iPhone 6 and 6s Plus by almost 16 % in India.
The company took a decision to reduce the prices of their latest smartphone device after sales failed to show improvement following the launch of iPhone 6 and 6s plus two months ago.
India, one of the most populous countries, is a big market for any smartphone manufacturer. Apple being one of key players in the industry had to take the decision that affects 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB models in order to increase sales.
The price of the iPhone 6s 16 GB model, which was introduced at Rs 62,000 on October 16, now ranges between Rs 52,000 and Rs 55,000.If the new price cut takes effect then the prices will reduce significantly, even below Rs 45,000.
Apple is expected to launch iPhone 7 and 7s Plus models late in 2016. Clearing the stores for the new flagship smartphone will be the company’s main target. Reducing the prices of the products across all countries will greatly boost their sales.
