ODM nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura has declared interest in Ruiru Parliamentary seat.
The MP announced on Monday that he will contest for the seat on Jubilee Party ticket and not ODM party.
Isaac, who was nominated to parliament by Raila Odinga in 2013, said he has nothing to lose since he has almost zero chances of being nominated again by ODM party.
The MP believes JAP is the right vehicle for anyone with intentions of winning any seat in Central Kenya, adding that ODM has no place in the region.
His entry into the race puts the current Member of Parliament Esther Gathogo in an awkward position as she expected a smooth ride in 2017.
