  1. University of Nairobi

University of Nairobi, being the best university in Kenya, is the most preferred institution for real estate students. With a C+ in KCSE, you can join the institution under module II program, but those selected by the government to join require at least A-because slots available for them are few.

Kenyatta University is another government institution that offers that offers a degree in real estate management. Entry requirements include:

Admission Requirements

Applicants for the BSc degree in Real Estate Management must meet the following minimum qualifications:

    •  Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)

Obtained a minimum grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and have minimum grade of C+ in the following subjects:

  1.  Mathematics
  2.   2nd Group II (Physics, Biology or Chemistry) or
  3.  Any Group III (Geography or History or Art and Design) or
  4.  Any Group IV (Home Science or Art and Design or Agriculture or Aviation Technology or Computer Studies) or
  5.         Any Group V (French, German, Arabic, Music, Business Studies)
    •  A-Level 

Two Principal Passes in any one of the following subjects: Economics, History, Geography, Commerce, or any other relevant subject, and a credit pass in the English language and Mathematics at KCE level or equivalent.

    •  Approved Diploma 

Candidates with a Kenyatta University approved diploma or Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Diploma with at least a credit pass in:  Building Construction, Architectural Studies, Land Surveying and Civil Engineering; or Diploma in Estate Agency and Property Management; or Diploma in Technology (Dip. Tech) in Land Administration may be admitted into the first year of study.

Applicants for the BSc degree in Real Estate Management must meet the following minimum qualifications:

Mount Kenya is a privately owned training institution and it offers a degree course in real estate management. Admission requirement for a degree program include at least a C+ in KCSE or a diploma in real estate management.

  1. Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT)

If you miss admission to UoN, you better select JKUAT because it’s known for producing very qualified graduates.

Admission requirement include:

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate of B- (minus) and C+ (plus) as the minimum grade in the following cluster subjects: Alternative A(English or Kiswahili, Mathematics, Physics, Geography or Building, Construction or Drawing, Design or Economics or Commerce or Accounting; OR Alternative B (English or Kiswahili, Mathematics, Physical Science, Geography/Building, Design or Economics or Construction or Drawing, Commerce or Accounting. A holder of a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Diploma (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline, with credit or distinction may be considered.
