President Uhuru Kenyatta was heckled and humiliated in Wote by angry and hungry residents.
The president was in Kalonzo’s turf to seek votes only to meet hostile crowd. Despite promising them heaven the residents cared less to listen.
In his speech he said,and they responded:
Uhuru:Harambee
Wote:Nasa.
Uhuru:Si mumeone tumefanya kazi
Wote: wapi?
Uhuru:Mimi naomba kura jamani
Wote:Hata Raila anaomba
Uhuru:Kalonzo ni rafiki yangu
Wote:Tangu lini?
The president was forced to cut short his speech but assured them he will show Raila dust.
Uhuru is expected to wind up his campaign in Nairobi this week,a month after official campaigns kicked off.Raila too will be at Uhuru Park for a grand rally.
