It’s always difficult to select the best place to buy a smartphone given Safaricom and Jumia.Being one of those who have purchased phones from the two giant companies, I have a nice story to tell.
When you don’t have enough information, you may end up buying a phone for Ksh 20,000 whose actual price is Ksh 15, 000, which is the very reason you must seek information first. Based on facts,Jumia is better than Safaricom,and here are my facts.
You will be shocked to see this. At Safaricom,I phone 7 is currently going for Ksh 104,199 while the same phone is going for Ksh 84,999 at Jumia.To shock you more, both phones have the same features .From this, you will realize there is a difference of over Ksh 20,000.
If I go further, you will clearly see why Jumia is better by far.
Besides the cost, Jumia delivers the phone after you have ordered, thus saving you the risk of carrying money on the streets.Jumia also gives you a one year Warranty, which is also issued by Safaricom.
Someone may question why Jumia is cheaper than Safaricom.The main reason is that Jumia does not incur many operational expenses. The company also sources products direct from manufacturers.
What I have realized as move around to compare prices of smartphones is that smartphones that cost less than Ksh 10,000 are priced Ksh1,000-3,000 higher at Safaricom that is the case for Jumia.Those costing at least Ksh 20,000 are Ksh2,000 more expensive at Safaricom than you will buy them at Jumia.
