If you think your child’s school fees is exhausting your pockets, then you are mistaken. One parent visited Pembroke House for admission of his child, the fees structure he was given almost caused him a heart attack.
From the fees structure below,you won’t be wrong if you keep your lane.
Pembroke House fees for 2017/18, inclusive of all boarding seven-days-a-week, are:
KSh 81,000 per term for Nursery (1-3 years old at September)
KSh 151,500 per term for Pre- School (3-4 years old at September)
KSh 348,250 per term for year 1 (5 years old at September)
KSh 557,200 per term for year 2 (6 years old at September)
KSh 696,600 per term for years 3-8 (7 years plus at September)
Discounts of 5% are available for first sibling, and 10% for a second siblings or more
A further 3% discount is available for those paying all three terms at the start of September.
Fees are due three times per year (start September, start January & end April for Year 1-7).
Fees are due two times per year (beginning of September and beginning of January for Year 8).
A monthly direct debit payment option (divide a year’s fees by 12) is available at a one off 1.5% surcharge on full fees.
Surcharges of 2.5% on balance 14 days after first day of the term plus a 1.5% interest every month are applied for late payment.
Registration
A one-off fee of KSh 5,000 per child
This is not a binding commitment to join the school, but ensures you are kept up to date, for example on availability of places. It also secures priority over those not yet registered.
Joining fee
A one-off fee of KSh 150,000, with 50% refunded after the final term if all obligations are met.
The joining fee can be paid at any time and secures a place at the school for the given year of entry. Should the place not be taken up, the entire joining fee is forfeited.
Should a parent wish for a child to defer from the year requested, we will try as far as possible to accommodate requests but may not be able to guarantee the changed joining date.
Extras
Please also note that there are a number of optional extras each term. We will also re-bill individual expenses occurred during term, such as postage, medication or school trips.
Subject extras (Music, Riding )are all billed beforehand at the start of the term in which they are taken, and can be signed up for on arrival.Permission will always be sought in advance.

Pembroke House is a ‘Charitable Trust’. This means that all fees go towards improving education at the school and to keeping fees as low as possible. The governing body of the school receives no financial remuneration from the school.
