Open Letter to President Kenyatta. This Guy Has Hit The Nail on the Head

One Kenyan, Mohammed Hersi, has written a letter addressing President Kenyatta. The letter points out the weaknesses of his administration as well as giving solutions to some of the issues raised in the letter. If the president gets the message, I believe he would do something. Here is Mohammedโ€™s message.

โ€œOpen Letter To HE The President .

Your Excellency,

I have never written to you directly . Please bear with me .

Mr President congratulation on your re-election which was not easy and thank you for your patience and respecting the constitution. At the same time congratulations to you and First lady for becoming Grand Parents, what a double joy . To the little angel we wish her good health and God blessings.

Mr President , Google has honoured Kenya with a Doodle to mark Jamhuri Day. We are also bringing to an end a year that was characterised more with politics and suspense.

Mr President the best healing you can give this nation is just not by appointing an all inclusive goverment but by cracking the whip on corruption. The cancer of corruption is tearing the inner fabric of this nation. Mr President , tribes don’t steal but Individuals do .

Going through the Auditor Generals Report year in year out it is quiet revolting where no one is being held to account. I may be one of the few corporate guys who speak up because I mean well. I campaigned and I voted for you . I am not seeking any favour, I am not canvassing for any position all I want is good governance . If the guys running the education sector in the 70’s misappropriated funds meant for Kenya Schools Equipment Scheme I may not have managed to get educated in far flung Marsabit. The current cartel is what CS Matiangi is fighting .

You may claim that the new constitution may limit you in what action you can take but even then you still remain the Head Of State . Mr President You are not like Wanjiku and I , You hold instruments of power . You should offer leadership , direction and above all hold to account the same officers who are choosing to sit on their hands. At the end of the the day the buck stops with you . Mr President you appoint most of these office bearers , the least you can do is fire them while DPP must be seen to be doing his work together with EACC who have been nothing but a total letdown. I cannot remember any case that DPP has succeeded in prosecuting which led to conviction.

The corruption at both national and county goverment levels is simply mind boggling making us the laughing stock of the rest of the world.

The abuse of Imprest that goes into billions is simply nauseating. If anything goverment officials have made millions look like thousands while billions these days has been made to sound normal. Why would anyone still be office when they have refused to account for Imprest ? The rule is 7 days , in Private sector we do it within 24 Hours after your assignment .

It’s open secret that many goverment officers and goverment boards will spend more time out of the country and their own homes chasing per diems which is nothing but tax payers money. We always see them fly business class while true businessmen are in economy. 95% will stop flying once they leave office let alone fly business class.

A recent happening in your own home county of Kiambu and Thika to be more precise brought to fore how desperate the youth have become . Three young men well educated spent 6 months digging a tunnel to acess a bank vault . Their father summed it all when he said ” This is normal since adults have done worse things”. As usual we laughed it off but that made me very sad.

Mr President you are not seeking re-election but even more importantly you want to leave a legacy . You want to leave a country where your grand daughter will walk proudly and point out what a great nation Guka left behind. To your able Deputy he will be seeking a chance to succeed you . What happens in the next 4 years will determine whether he gets it or not. Even my support and many others will not be automatic . You must both courageously face this corruption ogre. Mr President when quality of life drops , cost of living goes up it does not choose a tribe. We are all in it hence I will tell you for free Kenyans are hurting.

As you address us this morning I want to see you very angry. I want you to read the riot act to all those serving in your goverment who have made corruption and stealing a way of life . They’ve made nonsense of hard work .

Today is a very special day. Jamhuri is not just another day . Your name Uhuru is the day we became independent. Your Excellency will you give us a new republic United and devoid of the corrupt who are busy bleeding this nation dry .

When you take action even the other side that never voted for you will start having faith in you . It is true that we can only have one President which also means you have the powers to face this shameless characters who steal even from unborn and the dead.

I wish you good health and wisdom as you we chart the way forward . Mr President you are not indebted to anyone but to Kenyans at large. Please show us that voting for you was worth our time .

We believe you can . Ubarikiwe and Happy Jamhuri Day .

God Bless Kenya

As always I choose to remain an optimist

Mohammed Hersiโ€
