Title:  Modern Trade Manager                               

Overall Job Purpose:                               

Responsible for relationship management, growth and target achievement of all Modern Trade business as defined by Client. Strategically manages these channels to ensure sustained business growth. Achieve sales plan and targets for the channels.

Essential Duties

  1. Manage and grow the Modern Trade business as defined by Client
  2. Seek out and explore new sales, product and customer opportunities in Modern Trade channel.
  3. Monitor sell-out by customer/by brand/by sales rep as well as market behaviors and competitors’ development to have timely and suitable reactions
  4. Analyze sales data to recommend, implement and administer methods and procedures to enhance the sales improvement of Modern Trade customers in line with company strategy
  5. Negotiate with Modern Trade customers on credit and other terms of trade
  6. Manage customer credit and payment.
  7. Establish and maintain a favorable relationship with major customers
  8. Manage Modern Trade Sales Reps and ensure to check field visiting plans and monthly expenses claims
  9. Develop effective Modern Trade sales team by supervising personnel, coordinating activities, allocating targets and overseeing reports
  10. Forecast sales targets and establish PPKRAs for the team and ensure they are met, in line with Company sales and distribution strategy
  11. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
  12. Work with trade marketing executive to ensure the right channel support and activations to ensure growth
  13. Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
  14. Present business development training and mentoring to sales representatives in their portfolio
  15. Understand the company’s goal and purpose so as to continually enhance the company’s performance.
  16. Submit weekly ROIs and participate in bi-monthly ROPE reporting
  17. Adhere to company performance systems
  18. Perform any other job as assigned

Job Title:      Emerging Channels Manager – Nairobi                                             

Overall Job Purpose:       

Responsible for identifying, and developing channels that present an opportunity to the business with a focus on HORECA, Institutions and digital sales. Strategically manages these channels to ensure sustained business growth. Achieve sales plan and targets for the channels.

Essential Duties

  1. Tap into and grow the HORECA and institutions portfolio within the organization
  2. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  3. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  4. Research and build relationships with new clients.
  5. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  6. Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  7. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  8. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  9. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
