There was drama at Kabarak after former President Moi refused to meet DP Ruto.

In the spirit of the handshake,Ruto planned a journey to Kabarak to seek blessings from the Mzee, but things went south after Moi refused to come out of his bedroom to greet his visitor. The retired president reportedly hibernated the whole day, forcing the DP to take lunch and return to Nairobi.

Earlier, bloggers allied to the DP photo shopped handshake between the DP and Moi but minutes later, Dennis Itumbi shared this on his Facebook handle:

“ H.E DEPUTY PRESIDENT’S KABARAK VISIT

Former President Mzee Daniel arap Moi was visited today by Deputy President His Excellency William Ruto at his Kabarak home. Ruto who was accompanied by Energy CS Charles Keter, Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut and lawyer Stephen Kipkenda were welcomed and had lunch at Mzee’s Kabarak home. Unfortunately, this coincided with the time Mzee Moi was undergoing routine physical exercise with his doctors. Mzee Moi agreed to meet the visitors at convenient time another day in the very near future.
