JOB PURPOSE:
To provide coordination support to studies in the ED Department to ensure smooth running of studies

JOB DIMENSIONS:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate submission of study documents for approval
- Extract and collate studies information, i.e. protocols, consent, SOPs, correspondence, key study activities and populate the Protocol Tracking System with new and historic data
- Track studies submissions, versions and changes to protocols and consent forms
- Coordinate translation of approved consent forms into local languages
- Facilitate study teams to ensure compliance to protocols, SOPs, GCP and reporting requirements by sending reminders
- Maintain investigators files, ensure all essential study documents are filed chronologically and assist in archiving of studies documentation
- Familiarise with relevant policies, guidelines, templates and forms, guide scientists to these and provide support to complete them in order to facilitate study activities
- Assist to develop, review and update studies processes and procedures
- Update a database of manuscripts and publications from the department
- Assist in coordination of payment to journals and in monitoring adherence to data access procedures
- Assist in coordination of scientific meetings, workshops, trainings and conferences
- Provide administrative and logistics support, e.g. travel, to studies and staff.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports as required by the Department.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma in a health related field or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience providing coordination support to a research study/ programme/ project
- Training and experience in project management including, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications and using databases.
Desirable
- Experience of regulatory and compliance work in a research setting.
- Experience of data entry performed to a high standard.
