Former Mombasa governor aspirant Hon. Suleiman Shahbal has become generous again, this time for coronavirus victims. The Mombasa billionaire has instructed his bank Gulf African Bank to provide money to support the fight against coronavirus.

Shahbal made the announcement after meeting with Governor Joho in Mombasa. Here is the billionaire’s full statement:

“I have just called Gov. Hassan Ali Joho after his press conference on the Corona Virus preparedness for Mombasa County and I commended him and the administration for being proactive on this issue. I also promised that I would do everything to support his efforts to arrange food assistance for those who will be affected by the shutdown. I have also spoken to the Managing Director of Gulf African Bank and we have agreed to provide funds to help with the food drive. I urge all people of goodwill to come out now and support this drive to arrange for food supplies. The time is NOW. Please do the right thing”

This comes a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy opted to give up 80% of their salary for the noble cause.Other billionaires have been urged to come out in large numbers and donate some of their money especially at this time when the poor are not earning any coin.
