ICIC has released a list of terms that they term as hate speech. If you are found using these words on social media, you’ll be summoned by NCIC and taken to court for hate speech.For politican aspirants,use of such words may disqualify you from the race.
Here is a list of words classified as hate speech in Kenya:
- Kaffir—One who conceals truth
- Madoadoa—dots
- Chunga kura—secure the votes
- Mende—cockroach
- Watu wa kurusha mawe—People who throw stones
- Watajua hawajui—They will know that they do not know
- Wabara waende kwao—People from off the coast should go back to their homes
- Wakuja—those that come
- Chinja kafir—kill the infidel
- Kwekwe—weeds
- Kihii—uncircumcised man
- Hatupangwingwi
- Kama noma noma
- Operation linda kura
- Kill
- Uthamaki ni mtu—The kingdom is ours
- Mwiji—uncircumcised man
- Kimurkeldet—Brown teeth
- Otutu labotonik—Uproot the weed
- Ngetiik—Uncircumcised
